KCAA Invitational Swimming Championship: Join Us for an Unforgettable Event!

The Kiambu County Aquatics Association (KCAA) is thrilled to invite you to the KCAA Invitational Swimming Championship, a dynamic two-day event showcasing top-tier swimming talent from across the region. Mark your calendars for the 25th and 26th of January 2025,  the competition will be held at Regis School.

Event Overview

The championship will be conducted following WORLD AQUATICS and KENYA AQUATICS technical swimming rules.

All participants must comply with safety protocols directed by Regis School and KCAA officials.

Event Schedule

Session A: Saturday, 25th January (Warm-up: 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM | Start: 8:15 AM)

Session B: Saturday, 25th January (Warm-up: 1:30 PM - 1:50 PM | Start: 2:00 PM)

Session C: Sunday, 26th January (Warm-up: 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM | Start: 8:15 AM)

Age Groups

7 & under, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18 & over.

Age will be determined as of 25th January 2025.

Warm-Up Procedure

Equal warm-up time will be provided for all teams.

Teams must be accompanied by a coach, assistant coach, or team manager.

KCAA’s official lifeguard will supervise the warm-up sessions.

Awards

Medals for top three positions in individual and relay events.

Certificates of participation (upon coach request by 23rd January 2025).

Team trophies for Best Girls Team, Best Boys Team, 1st Runners-up, and 2nd Runners-up.

Individual trophies for the top swimmer in each age category.

Entries

Entry submission opens: 5th January 2025

Entry deadline: 23rd January 2025

Entries must be submitted in Team Manager format via email to ksfkiambucompetitionsecretary@gmail.com and copied to kiambuaquatics@gmail.com

Late entries will not be accepted.

Entry Fees:

Individual event: Ksh 500 per swimmer

Relay event: Ksh 1,000 per team

Spectator Fees

Ksh 1,000 per day.

Accreditation

Teams must submit names of coaches and team managers for accreditation by 23rd January 2025.

Accreditation Ratios:

1-10 swimmers: 1 coach pass, 1 team manager pass

11-20 swimmers: 2 coach passes, 1 team manager pass

21-30 swimmers: 2 coach passes, 2 team manager passes

31+ swimmers: 3 coach passes, 3 team manager passes

Seating and Cleanliness

Teams are encouraged to maintain tidiness on the pool deck and sitting area.

Results and Protests

Preliminary results will be posted on venue notice boards.

Final results will be emailed to participating teams.

Written protests to the referee must be submitted with a fee of Ksh 2,000.

Safety and Consent

Lifeguards will be present throughout the event.

Participation is at the individual’s own risk.

By participating, you consent to the use of photos and personal information for promotional purposes.

Food and Refreshments

Meals, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase from approved caterers.
