The wait is almost over! Kiambu County Aquatics Association (KCAA) is set to officially open the 2026–2027 swimming season with the highly anticipated Kiambu Aquatics Interclubs Swimming Championship, scheduled for 29th–30th August 2026 at Potterhouse Senior School.
The two-day championship will bring together swimmers from different clubs and schools for a weekend of exciting races, fierce competition, personal bests, and unforgettable moments in the pool.
A New Swimming Season Begins
The Interclubs Swimming Championship marks the beginning of another exciting season for Kiambu Aquatics. After a highly competitive 2025–2026 season, swimmers return to the pool with new goals, renewed determination, and the ambition to start the new campaign on a strong note.
The championship will provide athletes with an opportunity to test their preparation, gain valuable race experience, improve their times, and compete against some of the best young swimmers from participating clubs.
For coaches and clubs, it will also be an important opportunity to assess their athletes and establish the foundation for a successful 2026–2027 season.
Competition Across Multiple Age Groups
The championship is designed to accommodate swimmers across different stages of development, ensuring that young and experienced athletes have an opportunity to compete.
The featured age categories are:
- Under 7
- 8–9 Years
- 10–11 Years
- 12–13 Years
- 14–15 Years
- 16–17 Years
- 18 Years & Over
With athletes competing across the various age groups, spectators can expect a packed programme featuring exciting races, close finishes, emerging talent, and plenty of competitive action.
