The Kiambu County Aquatics Association (KCAA) has taken another significant step in advancing swimming development by successfully hosting its Coaches Forum on 14th June 2026 at The Senate Hotel, Juja.
The landmark forum brought together coaches from clubs affiliated with and participating in KCAA competitions, creating a platform for meaningful dialogue on the future of swimming in Kenya.
A Historic Milestone for Kiambu Aquatics
The Coaches Forum marked an important chapter in the association’s commitment to strengthening the sport beyond competition. Instead of focusing solely on race results, the forum placed emphasis on the people who shape every swimmer’s journey—the coaches.
Throughout the day, participants engaged in productive discussions on both technical and governance matters affecting the growth and development of aquatics.
Topics included athlete development, coaching standards, competition management, club collaboration, and strategies for strengthening swimming structures within Kiambu County and across Kenya.
Coaches Driving the Future of Swimming
The forum provided an open environment where coaches shared experiences, exchanged ideas, and discussed practical solutions to the challenges facing competitive swimming.
The interactive sessions highlighted the importance of continuous learning, collaboration, and unified leadership in building stronger clubs and developing future champions.
Participants welcomed the initiative and unanimously expressed the need for such forums to become a regular feature of the Kiambu Aquatics calendar.
Their enthusiasm reflected a shared commitment to improving coaching standards and ensuring swimmers receive the highest level of guidance both in and out of the pool.
Building More Than Champions
Kiambu Aquatics firmly believes that sustainable success in swimming begins with investing in people.
By creating opportunities for coaches to learn from one another and contribute to policy discussions, the association continues to strengthen the foundation upon which future champions will be built.
The forum also reaffirmed Kiambu Aquatics’ vision of promoting professionalism, good governance, technical excellence, and collaboration throughout the swimming community.
Looking Ahead
Following the success of the Coaches Forum, Kiambu Aquatics is already preparing additional stakeholder engagement forums.
Plans are underway to host dedicated Athletes Forums and Swim Parents Forums, providing every member of the aquatics community with an opportunity to contribute ideas, strengthen relationships, and support the continued growth of the sport.
These engagements form part of KCAA’s broader vision of creating an inclusive, transparent, and athlete-centered swimming ecosystem.
Together We Build the Future
The successful Coaches Forum demonstrates that Kiambu Aquatics continues to lead by example in promoting dialogue, education, and collaboration within Kenyan swimming.
As the association continues to grow, it remains committed to empowering coaches, supporting athletes, engaging parents, and working closely with all stakeholders to raise the standards of aquatics in Kenya.
Together, we are building a stronger future for swimming—one conversation, one coach, and one swimmer at a time.
