Kiambu County Aquatics Association (KCAA) is set to strengthen the skills of swimming event administrators with a dedicated Team Manager and Meet Manager Training Clinic scheduled for Saturday, 5th September 2026 at Zetech University.

The one-day training will bring together swimming stakeholders interested in improving their knowledge of team management, meet administration, and the use of modern technology to deliver professionally managed swimming competitions.

Building Stronger Swimming Administrators

While swimmers and coaches are often at the centre of swimming competitions, effective event management is equally important to the success of every gala.

Team managers play a critical role in coordinating athletes, communicating with coaches and officials, managing entries, and ensuring teams are properly prepared for competition.

Meet managers, meanwhile, are responsible for coordinating the technical and administrative aspects of swimming meets, helping ensure competitions run efficiently, accurately, and professionally.

The Kiambu Aquatics training clinic aims to strengthen these skills and equip participants with practical knowledge that can be applied during swimming competitions.

Focus on Modern Meet Management

A key component of the clinic will be exposure to Active Hy-Tek Meet Manager, a widely used swimming meet management platform that supports competition administration and results management.

Participants will have an opportunity to improve their understanding of digital meet management and how technology can make swimming competitions more efficient.

With swimming competitions becoming increasingly professional and technology-driven, developing competent meet managers and team managers is essential for raising the standards of aquatic events in Kenya.
